Runway Lights – What Defines A Villain

“What Defines A Villain” is an admirable offering; from the striking vocals on the lyrically dark “Broad Strokes” to the exquisitely turbulent quality of “Wash Away”. The hypnotic “Red Letter” brings blistering, crashing guitars with a Queens Of The Stone Age influence while the stunning harmonies on “Sand” give way to an equally memorable guitar finish. Early nineties Pixies, Portishead and Radiohead are called to mind on this impressive debut from an extremely promising five-piece.
